Before you contact a seller
- Read the full description and compare the price with similar listings.
- Look for clear original photos and consistent specifications.
- Review the seller profile and ask focused questions about condition, ownership and availability.
Before you pay
- Inspect the item in person whenever practical.
- Verify serial numbers, ownership documents and service records for vehicles or expensive goods.
- Do not send deposits because of artificial urgency.
- Never share your password, card PIN or OTP verification code.
Meeting safely
Choose a public, well-lit location, tell someone where you are going and avoid carrying unnecessary cash. For property, employment, vehicles or regulated services, use appropriate professional checks and written documentation.
Recognising common scams
Be cautious when a person refuses reasonable inspection, offers an implausibly low price, requests payment through an unusual channel, sends a link that imitates the marketplace, or asks you to continue entirely outside normal communication channels.
Reporting a problem
Save the listing link, screenshots, payment records and conversation details. Contact the marketplace operator through the Contact page and, where necessary, report fraud or threats to the appropriate local authority.
